“They are finding their way,” Holmstrom said. “Everyone underestimates the size and speed. They did just fine over the weekend. They will mature very quickly.”
Fortunately for goaltenders, they have a good mix of experienced, older players in front of them — giving the Tigers a solid defensive corps and forwards group. Forward Liam Bland, 18, of Spokane, Washington, recorded four points (two goals) in as many games in Blaine, building on his eight-point performance in 20 NAPHL games last regular season.
