The Bulls may be smaller compared to most WSHL teams, but Pueblo will rely on its overall speed, skill and a gritty work ethic appreciated in Colorado’s “Steel City.”
The team has a mix of veterans and rookies under coach Chris Wilhite, a Cheyenne Mountain High School (Colorado Springs) graduate who played in the WSHL before entering the NCAA Division III ranks.
“The veterans are doing a really good job teaching us the ropes of the Western States (Hockey) League,” Lone said. “Practices have been very intense. Our coaches do not mess around.”
“I don’t think a single team in the league will out work us,” Rousseau said.
