Fort Collins vs. Ralston Valley

5 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 4

Fort Collins has rarely been challenged this season. The result is a perfect record through five games. But the No. 2 Lambkins could find Saturday's matchup with Pinnacle Conference rival Ralston Valley a true test of their mettle.

Balanced scoring has been the hallmark of the team's success, as three players each have five goals already this season — a group highlighted by Tanner Marsh and his 13 points. Nolan Devine also has double-digit points (12) while Nolan Williamson (nine points) isn't far behind his teammates.

That potent offense may find it difficult to penetrate the force field Ralston Valley's Miguel Tanner puts around the goal. He is 3-1 with two shutouts and owns an impressive goals-against average (1.76 ) and save percentage (.939).
