ALL BANTAM & MIDGET PLAYERS will have to complete a Baseline Neurocognitive Test using ImPACT from Orthopaedic Center of the Rockies (OCR) prior to tryouts for the 2018-19 season.

For 19-20 Season -- 1st Year Bantams (BY 2006) 1st & 3rd Year Midgets (BY 2004 & 2002)

Baseline neurocognitive testing is one tool used in concussion evaluation and management. Results from the baseline test can be used and compared to post-injury tests in the event an athlete suffers a concussion. ImPACT baseline testing takes approximately 30 minutes to administer. It is recommended players take this test every two years.

SCHEDULING YOUR TEST
Families can contact OCR directly to schedule a time during the summer at either of their three offices. Please mention ""ImPACT Testing with Dr. Wicklund" when you call in and note there is a $20 fee if completed before Aug 1 and will increase to $30 Aug 2 onward. That fee will be paid directly to OCR when you arrive for your appointment.

HOWEVER...
1) if your child also plays a sport at a PSD or Thompson Valley School District high school then he/she does NOT have to complete this test this calendar year as they have already been tested through his/her school and have this test on file.

2) if your Bantam or Midget player was tested in the summer/fall of 2019 through OCR they do NOT have to complete this test either as it is good for another calendar year.

Otherwise your player will not be allowed to participate in tryouts if they have not completed this test through OCR or their high school athletic program.
