On behalf of the board, I’d like to welcome all of our Bison players and families to the 2019-2020 season. We are very excited for the upcoming season and look forward to seeing everyone around the rink! Boulder Hockey Club has long been known for developing player skills on the ice and being a connected community, developing character in our players on and off the ice. We continue to build on that heritage as we move forward towards our 50th anniversary.
Separately, we are announcing that Michele Amidon has decided to step down as Executive Director of the Boulder Hockey Club. Chris Lockrem will immediately assume the additional responsibilities of the Executive Hockey Director, on an interim basis, while also continuing in his current role of Hockey Director.
Michele will stay on through September 23rd to complete this year’s tryout process. We want to thank Michele for her hard work and dedication to the Club over the past three seasons during a pivotal time of transition and wish her the best in her next endeavors.
We are fortunate to have Chris to take the helm immediately as he has been instrumental in building the plans and the coaching staff for this season and we are expecting a very smooth transition. As many of you know, Chris has held this position before and we ask that everyone support him as we move forward together.
Please join me in both wishing Michele the best and supporting Chris. Feel free to reach out to any board member or to Chris with any questions or concerns.
You’ll note that Board and Advisory Board members will be wearing name tags around the rink to make it easier to spot us. We look forward to seeing you and continuing to build our Bison family!
