The Colorado Avalanche Amateur Hockey Development Department in conjunction with the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA), the Colorado Prep Hockey League (CPHL) and the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) is excited to announce the final roster for the 2020 Team Colorado. Team Colorado is scheduled to compete at the CCM High School National Invitational Tournament (NIT) from April 30 - May 3 at the Plymouth Ice Center in Minneapolis, MN.
Twenty of the best high school hockey players in the state will represent Colorado at this prestigious and heavily scouted event including scouting staffs from the National Hockey League, NCAA Division I, NCAA Division III, the United States Hockey League and the North American Hockey League.
The process for the 2020 Team Colorado roster selection was extensive and included the Team Colorado NIT Selection Camp on November 22, 23, 24, along with comprehensive evaluations of player performances throughout the Fall CPHL season and the Winter CHSAA season.

The Team Colorado coaching staff consists of George Gwozdecky, Coach-Valor Christian High School, Dan Woodley, Coach-Regis Jesuit High School, Jeff Mielnicki, Coach-Cherry Creek High School, Jeremy Sims, Coach-Heritage High School, Dylan Strom, Coach-Fort Collins High School, Terry Ott, Assistant Coach-Regis Jesuit High School and Ralph Bammert, Vice President of High Schools-CAHA.
The CCM High School National Invitational Tournament (NIT) is one of the top showcase tournaments in the country. The Tournament annually features the top high school players from Minnesota, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Dakota and Wisconsin. This will be the first year that Colorado will participate.
In the preliminary round of games, Team Colorado is scheduled to play Michigan on April 30, Wisconsin on May 1 and Minnesota on May 2. The Playoff rounds will be played on May 3.
