Fort Collins was somewhat shorthanded for its home-and-home back-to-back games with Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) Class 5A North Conference foe Monarch last Friday and Saturday, and the team needed to find ways to score outside of its comfort zone.

It was an opportunity junior forward Jason Campos didn't waste, especially on Saturday at The Sport Stable.

Capitalizing on open space in front of the Coyotes net, Campos took two whacks at a rebound and pushed the puck past Monarch goaltender Simon Holstein to help the Lambkins to a 3-0 victory.

Campos’ late-game goal was another entry in his growing resume of clutch goals for Fort Collins (3-0, 3-0), the top-ranked team in the Class 5A coaches’ poll released Feb. 8.
