And the winner is... CO Hockey Hub Player of the Week revealed

Player of the Week Winner

Evan McKane, Parker Knights. McKane stopped 32 shots to earn a shutout in a 2-0 win over Ralston Valley on April 9. The performance was highlighted by a 15-save third period, ensuring the Mustangs wouldn't get on the scoresheet.

Player of the Week candidates


Noah Younkin, Chaparral. Younkin’s five-points performance propelled the Wolverines to an 11-4 rout of DC/CV on April 9. He scored two first-period goals and added two more in the second period before notching an assist in the third period. 

Lawrence Simons, Mountain Ice - I. Simons assisted on a game-tying goal midway through the third period and then scored the game-winner with less than three minutes remaining in regulation to clinch a fiery 8-7 victory over DC/CV on April 10. He finished the game with two goals and two assists.

Sam Zis, Fairview. Zis fueled a four-goal run that helped Fairview turn a two-goal deficit into a two-goal lead en route to a 5-3 victory over Rock Canyon on April 11. He scored three of the goals, including a shorthanded one in the second period, and added an assist in the run that spanned three periods.

Kristopher Apple-Duncan, Mountain Vista. Apple-Duncan assisted on the go-ahead goal in the second period and added two goals and an assist in the third period to lead Mountain Vista to a 7-3 win against Monarch/WIC on April 11.
