We are excited to announce the collaboration between the Colorado Select Girls Hockey Association and the Littleton Hawks Youth Hockey Association to create the Colorado Fourteeners girls hockey program. Given the increasingly competitive female hockey environment, the two associations believe it is in the best interest of our athletes to combine forces and become one competitive, yet traditional, hockey program dedicated to female players in the Denver-metro and neighboring cities. The Colorado 14ers will immediately begin providing hockey camps and clinics for the summer and will be registering teams for the 2021-2022 season.
Combining the Colorado Select female hockey expertise and winning history, with the program longevity, and consistent local and national success of the Littleton Hawks, we know what it takes to put the best hockey program together in order to create an environment where each and every player will be successful on and off the ice.
Director of Hockey Operations Hannah Westbrook’s extensive hockey expertise will provide the leadership and dedication needed to create a successful girls hockey program that focuses on individual player development and provides opportunities for players at all levels to grow.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to continue to grow the game of hockey in Colorado. There is power in numbers; by creating a program with a multitude of players will not only make each individual better, but will continue to grow our association and be competitive every season at each age group. I believe in player and coaching development through strategy and mentorship by providing resources to help build success. Colorado 14ers will be an inclusive competitive hockey program that produces strong female athletes on and off the ice, and it is an honor and privilege to be part of it.” Hannah Westbrook, Colorado 14ers Director of Hockey Operations
“The Colorado 14ers hockey program believes in long-term athletic development and organic growth. We seek athletes who are willing to commit the time and effort required to achieve personal goals, as well as athletic and academic success. We pride ourselves in having a team for each athlete's skill set; offering competitive tier hockey, as well as recreational opportunities from U8 to U19. We understand that every athlete’s development and goals are different, and it is our mission to help mentor and guide each individual to meet their goals on and off the ice. Colorado 14ers will have professional female coaching representation on every team, understanding the importance of role models and mentorship for our players is at the forefront of our program’s success.” Brian TenEyck, Littleton Hawks Executive Director of Hockey Operations
