Former St. Cloud State Standout to Serve as Recruiting Coordinator

Team Colorado has added Colorado native and former St. Cloud State standout Molli Mott as the program's Recruiting Coordinator.  She will assist the Head Coaches of all three TC teams identifying and procuring talented players ready to take the step to Tier-1 hockey.  Mott will also take a lead role helping to evaluate players during the TC tryouts held June 25-27, and will work with TC staff to help finalize team rosters.

A native of Colorado Springs, Mott played for the  Colorado Select from 2005-2010.  In 2010 she was a Hobey Baker award winner for exemplary character and sportsmanship.  Receiving a full ride scholarship to NCAA Division-1 St. Cloud State, she played for the Huskies from 2010-2014.   While at St. Cloud, she was voted the team MVP after the 2011-12 season, and served as an assistant captain her senior year.

Mott started her coaching career in Minnesota with the Sartell/Sauk Rapids girls high school team from 2014-2016, and advanced her team to the state championship in her first season.   She currently coaches the for  Lady Roughriders, helping them secure the 2021 16U AA National Championship.  During the 2021-22 season, she will serve as the Lady Roughriders Director of Hockey.

"As we continue to strengthen relationships with the Tier-2 Colorado programs, adding Coach Mott as the TC Recruiting Coordinator only strengthens opportunities for girls throughout the state.  Her knowledge of the Girls game, and her understanding of the type of player it takes to play at an elite level will invaluable for the program." said TC Executive Director Shaun Hathaway.
