And the winner is... CO Hockey Hub Player of the Week revealed: Sept. 6-11

Player of the Week Winner

Damiano Venturi, Mountain Vista T2. Venturi bounced back after giving up the game’s opening goal three minutes in. He stopped 38 of 39 shots in a 2-1 triumph over Denver East T2 on Sept. 10, including a 14-save final period.

Player of the Week candidates


Duke Pingrey, Rampart T2. Protecting a two-goal lead entering the third period, Pingrey stopped all 15 shots he faced in the final frame to help Rampart secure a 3-1 victory over Woodland Park T2 on Sept. 7. He stopped 40 of 41 shots total for a .976 save average.

Luke Brennan, Cherry Creek T1. Brennan broke the game open with a first-period power-play goal, and he didn’t stop there. Brennan added three goals and an assist in the final period to lead Cherry Creek with five points in an 8-2 win over Castle View T1 on Sept. 10. 

Sean Farrar, Monarch T1. Farrar notched his first shutout of the season, turning aside all 27 shots faced in a 4-0 victory over Standley Lake T1 on Sept. 10. 

Bennett Johnson, Fort Collins T1. In his CPHL debut, Johnson shut the door on Cherry Creek T1, stopping 22 shots in the final two periods to aid a 2-1 Lambkins victory on Sept. 11. He stopped 32 shots total for a .970 save percentage.

Gabriel DeNio, Woodland Park T2. After notching a pair of assists in the first period, DeNio scored five of the Panthers’ final six goals in a 11-3 rout of Cheyenne Mountain on Sept. 11. He finished the game with seven points total.
