State qualifier for 2023 Quebec International Pee-Wee Tournament begins Thursday in Denver

Hub exclusive: Eight teams from Colorado will compete for a spot in the international competition that runs from Feb. 8-19, 2023.

The 2022 Colorado Avalanche International qualifier begins Thursday, Nov. 17 and runs through the weekend with the championship game on Monday, Nov. 21. 

The winner will move on to the 2023 Quebec International Pee-Wee Tournament, which will be held Feb. 8-19, 2023, at the Videotron Centre and the Pavillon de la Jeunesse in Quebec, Canada. 

Colorado qualifying will take place at Magness Arena and Joy Burns Arena, with the championship game held at Ball Arena. All tournament games are free and open to the public.

The eight hockey squads competing for a spot in the international tournament include: 

  • Arapahoe 
  • Littleton Black 
  • Arvada 
  • Hyland Hills 
  • Littleton Red 
  • BHC 
  • NCYH 
  • CO Rampage 

The Littleton 12U AA Junior Avs, a team that finished 75-10-3 and won six championships last year, won the AA Division crown at the 2022 Quebec Pee-Wee International Tournament back in May, defeating Charlevoix Rorquals 7-5.
