2018 DRAFT!
Congratulations to Josiah Slavin, former Colorado Thunderbirds forward, who was chosen by Chicago Blackhawks in round seven, #193 overall in the NHL Draft. Slavin's draft selection brings the total Thunderbirds players drafted in the NHL to 18 since 2008! Colorado Thunderbirds are excited that the elite training received in the Thunderbirds organization consistently develop and move players on to some of the highest levels of competitive hockey.
Josiah Slavin played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2009-2016, and currently plays for the USHL Lincoln Stars where he will be Captain for the 2018-2019 season. Josiah is committed to Colorado College for the 2019-2020 season. Slavin comes from a great hockey family as his older sister, Jordan, played Thunderbirds from 2006-2007 and her college hockey at North Dakota; his older brother, Jaccob, played Thunderbirds from 2006-2011 and currently plays defense for the NHL Carolina Hurricanes, and younger brother, Jeremiah, will be on the Colorado Thunderbirds 14U team this season. Proud parents are Rob and Wendi Slavin of Erie, Colorado.
